Bandersnatch = Bandersmooch

I wanted to do this before going riding again. The bike is brilliant! I was amazed at how well it holds a line. I think it will help me become a better rider. :) It just flows. I don't know if it's the geometry, the wheelbase, or some other element, but I like it. It also seems to shift easier than other geared bikes I ridden. Color me as very happy!

The only thing that I didn't think about on my maiden voyage on Friday was the chain. I've been mainly riding single speeds for the past couple of years, so chain slap hasn't been an issue. I wish I had thought of it before riding. The chain left its mark on the chainstay. Ouch! Anyhow, I fixed that Friday night by wrapping a split innertube around the chainstay and now all is well.

Vassago- Optimus Ti - Frame $1629

Due to the nature of the Optimus T's record sell-out speed, Vassago has given us all fair warning that they will begin another production run this month. Delivery will be on or around Halloween. OptimusTi orders will be filled on a first come first serve basis and this will be the last scheduled production until the '09s.

While Vassago plans to have stock on hand, the last time their entire run was pre-ordered before they were off the jigs.

So Grassroots Bikes is letting you know that if you are willing to pre-pay, you will be guaranteed a frames. That said, all pre-orders must be made before September 19th, 2008. Contact us at andrea@tfkt.org to place an order.
